The bitter taste.
About a week ago I finished reading a book called Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides (the author of The Virgin Suicides) and enjoyed it so much I decided to dedicate it a post. This story is about a hermaphrodite named Calliope who is growing up as a girl until she/he reaches 14 and realizes she/he feels more like a boy rather than a girl. The narrator also talks widely about Cal´s Greek family so the reader understands the background of this special person.

Asi pred týždňom som dočítala knihu s názvom "Hermafrodit" od Jeffrey Eugenides (autora Smrti panien) a páčila sa mi natoľko, že som sa jej rozhodla venovať príspevok. Tento príbeh je o hermafroditovi menom Calliope, ktorá vyrastá ako dievča až kým dosiahne 14 rokov a zistí, že sa cíti viac ako chlapec než dievča. Rozprávač taktiež podrobne opíše históriu gréckej rodiny, do ktorej sa Calliope narodila aby čitateľ pochopil pozadie tejto špeciálnej osoby.

Vienna.
Today, me and Claudia decided to go to Vienna. It was great, we´ve looked around the shops, eaten macarons and finished the day with delicious salads. I´ve got small blisters on my feet but it´s because we had to go by turbo speed when we were rushing back to the train station.
S Claudiou sme sa dnes rozhodli zájsť do Viedne. Bolo super, pokukali sme obchody, jedli makarónky a deň zakončili chutnými šalátmi. Mám menšie otlaky na nohách ale to len kvôli tomu, že sme museli nahodiť turbo rýchlosť keď sme sa ponáhľali na vlakovú stanicu.

Summer wave.
The poll opened my eyes, I am not going to stop blogging. Yippee. The only problem I have to solve as soon as possible is getting my Iphone repaired and probably buying a new camera because neither of the two are working. I also wanted to thank you for the encouraging comments which you left me in the previous post :)

Ten dotazník mi otvoril oči, neprestanem blogovať. Juchú. Jediný problém, ktorý musím čo najskôr vyriešiť je dať si opraviť Iphone a pravdepodobne kúpiť nový foťák lebo ani jedno ani druhé nefunguje. Tiež sa vám chcem poďakovať za povzbudzujúce komenty, ktoré ste mi nechali v minulom príspevku :)

To be or not to be...
Ako ste si mohli všimnúť, môj blog už nie je taký produktívny ako kedysi býval. Nie je to preto, že by som nemala dostatok času ale skôr lebo sa mi zdá, že celkovo blogosféra už nie je to čo bývala. Existujú blogy, ktoré naďalej ostávajú mojimi obľúbenými - sú zaujímavé a originálne no pribúdajú aj také, ktoré sú absolútne neinšpiratívne. Keď sa prihlásim na svoj blogger účet, a prechádzam si nové príspevky, často sa stane, že viaceré blogy píšu o presne tej istej veci, poprípade len odkopírujú články. Veľa ľudí nosí presne tie isté outfity, skrátka - žiadna vynaliezavosť. Je mi jasné, že práve ja by som mohla byť jedna z tých bloggeriek, ktoré majú stále niečo nové, s čím sa chcú podeliť no súčasný stav blogosféri ma odrádza len prihlásiť sa na svoj účet. Časť vo mne chce pokračovať no tá druhá (znechutená a otrávená) časť by chcela prestať. Tiež som rozmýšľala nad tým, že by som len pokračovala vo svojom tumblr, kde by som pravidelne prispievala s "inspirational pictures", ktoré sa občas objavia aj na tomto blogu. Bola by som rada keby ste sa vyjadrili v komentoch, poprípade zahlasovali v tom dotazníčku na okraji stránky.
You may have noticed that my blog is not as productive as it used to be. It´s not that I don´t have enough time but because I think that the blogosphere is not the same anymore. There are blogs out there, which remain my favorites - they are interesting and original although there are the other blogs (a lot of them!) which are absolutely not inspiring. When I log in to my blogger account and scroll down the new posts, I often find bloggers writing about the exact same thing, or in worse scenarios - copying articles. Quite a lot of people just wear outfits that are alike, in short - no resourcefulness. It is obvious to me, that I could be one of the bloggers who always have something new to say but the current state of blogosphere is discouraging me to even log in to my account. There is a part of me which wants to continue blogging but the other (annoyed and frustrated) side wants to stop. I was also thinking of just carrying on with my tumblr, where I would regularly post inspirational pictures, which sometimes appear on this blog. It would be very nice if you could comment below and express your opinion or vote in the poll on the side of this site.
